Yellowtail Sashimi Bowl

Japan’s famous “donburi” with soy sauce-flavored sashimi

Ingredients

Serves 2
  • 180g sashimi grade yellowtail, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs mirin
  • 1/2 tsp wasabi
  • 400g cooked short grain rice
  • 30g cucumber, cut into round slices
  • 2 radish, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 sheet dried seaweed (nori), tore into pieces
  • 2 shiso leaves, tore into pieces
  • 1 spring onion, chopped

Way of making

  1. step1.

    Mix the soy sauce, mirin and wasabi well. Add the yellowtail and soak it in the fridge for 10 minutes.

  2. step2.

    Scoop rice into serving bowls and arrange the cucumber, radish, seaweed, shiso leaves and yellowtail in order. Sprinkle it with chopped spring onion as you like.
