Teriyaki Yellowtail

Ingredients

serves 2
  • 160g yellowtail fillet, skin on, cut into 2 equal pieces
  • 1tbs flour
  • 1/2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 2 tbs sake or white wine
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbs sugar
  • 1tsp yuzu or any citrus juice
  • grated yuzu or any citrus zest

Way of making

  1. step1.

    Dust the yellowtail fillets with the flour.

  2. step2.

    Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Add the fish and cook both sides until it turns well browned.

  3. step3.

    Add the sugar, sake and soy sauce, lower the heat, and cook while swirling the frying pan to coat the fish with the sauce. Add the yuzu juice and swirl the frying pan to coat.

  4. step4.

    Place the fish on the plate and sprinkle it with the grated yuzu zest.
